This course gives an overview of an information system from its inception, development, usage and evaluation. It discusses the expectations of an information system and specifically how it can facilitate effective and efficient realization of the mission and objectives of an organization.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Be familiar with what an information system is and how it can add value to an organization

2. Describe the relationships between the various types of information systems

3. Align an information system with the objectives of an organization.
