Question: Patient was admitted for partial mastectomy, following diagnosis of breast cancer, lower inner quadrant left breast. No family history of breast cancer. Physical exam: large, left mass. Breast mass measured 2.5 × 3.2 cm as well as a possible axillary mass. PMH: Cholecystectomy, Hypertension, CAD, fibromyalgia presently on Aldomet. Other medications listed in record are continued during admission. Patient had lumpectomy on day 2. Frozen section revealed breast carcinoma, lower inner quadrant of left breast. Postoperatively, the patient did well. She was discharged on day 3 to follow up in the surgery clinic. A bone scan performed demonstrated abnormal areas in the thoracic spine that should be evaluated further after discharge
