Learning Outcome 1: Evaluate the components of quality provision for meeting specific Outcomes Addressed and diverse needs of children birth to 2 years of age.
Learning Outcome 2: Design and critically evaluate curriculum, routines, environments, materials, strategies and techniques in terms of their developmental, contextual and cultural relevance for children birth to 2 years of age.
Learning Outcome 3: Evaluate and reliably document the curriculum and children's experiences, learning, development and wellbeing to share with families and colleagues and plan learning and development goals for each child.
Learning Outcome 4: Communicate and interact respectfully and inclusively with colleagues, families from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds, including through cross-cultural communication.
Learning Outcome 5: Critically reflect constructively upon feedback from professional mentors and identify implications for their own professional growth.
Learning Outcome 6: Synthesise an understanding of the ethical paradigms, institutional policies, and compliance mandates to ensure the integrity and accountability of using Gen AI integration across academic, educational, and professional sectors, with attention to ethics and responsibility.
Assessment Objective
Pre-service teachers will analyse, reflect on and evaluate information in a case study (ULO3) and identify, plan and justify relevant ‘next steps' (ULO2). They will analyse a range of theoretical, research-informed development guidelines, pedagogical strategies, contextual and relational factors, and articulate and justify their decisions in analysing and planning for children's learning, development and wellbeing (ULO1, ULO3, ULO5) including relevant practices and interactions (ULO2, ULO3). They will demonstrate effective and respectful communication skills in writing their case study report (ULO4). In submitting their report, students seek constructive feedback to build on for their own professional growth (ULO5, ULO6).

Week 8: PowerPoint
Students must select only one of the sets of 3 cased studies provided.
PowerPoint content must include a background, a clear objective, and an outline structure.
PowerPoint content must include an analysis and evaluation of selected information from a case study, and provide an overview of a range of theoretical, research-informed development guidelines, pedagogical strategies, contextual, and relational factors relevant to your selected case study.
PowerPoint content must include an evaluation and a recommendation, with justification, for your decision in analysing and planning for children's learning.
Students must use contemporary literature reviews from 20162026, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to support their content.
GenAI tools are permitted for students to use to create and design PowerPoint and organise content.
GenAI must not be used to write or to create or generate content
Students must acknowledge GenAI use, including providing prompt histories and details of how GenAI was utilised. GenAI for grammatical purpose must provide draft for formal evidence. The information provided by GenAI must be fact verified by you.
No screenshot, no handwritten, no picture file and submit in a digital file and PDF only on Turnitin.
Provide the only one references in APA7th version. The references exclude the word requirements. The references cover both of PowerPoint and Lesson Plan.
Week 8: Lesson Plan
The lesson plan must be designed from your selected case studies to build on the child's learning and development and support one of the next steps.
The lesson plan form provided on Moodle must include Learning outcomes, Curriculum, Theoretical connections, Physical space, Materials and resources. Relevance for children in your selected case studies
The lesson plan form provided on Moodle must include Pedagogies: teaching strategies, teaching notes, and evidence of learning, Reflection, and an appropriate photo to support the lesson plan. There are no allowed children's photos.
Students must use only CIHE Lesson Plan format.
Please note that physical implementation in a workplace is not required for case-study-based assignment.

Week 9: Presentation
Presentation 5-7 minutes and in the class time only.
Presentation covered analysis, reflection and evaluation information in a case study and demonstration your lesson plan.
Students are not permitted to use any technological devices while conducting a presentation.
AI resilience assignment
GenAI tools are permitted for students to design and create PowerPoint slides and presentation scripts.
GenAI must not be used to write the draft or to generate all the content for the PowerPoint and Lesson Plan.
Students must acknowledge their use of GenAI, including providing prompt histories and details of how it was utilised. The Information provided by GenAI must be fact-verified by you.
Students who may engage with grammatical AI applications are required to provide all academic evidence, such as drafts, for investigation.
Any suspicion of unethical use of AI to generate content will be investigated, and such investigations are mandatory.
Students who do not participate in the investigation within 10 days or provide limited evidence may be treated as being involved in academic misconduct.
