Question

As an environmental scientist working as an environmental consultant, you have been hired by your state Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to investigate the article The Impact and Toxicity of Glyphosate and Glysophate-based Herbicides on Health and Immunity" on a well-known and routinely used type of herbicide and its effects on the environment and humans. You also must quantify the reliability of the DEQ's own proposed biological safety and chemical safety control systems that they are considering implementing with use of this herbicide. Specifically, the DEQcalculate system reliability for the DEQ's own proposed biological control system and chemical control system from their provided variable values: Biological safety control system: Technology reliability =80%; Human reliability = 75% Chemical safety control system: Technology reliability = 90%; Human reliability = 85%.
