(*) - Only this boiler is operated throughout the year. Boilers B, C and D are in service only during the crushing season
The maintenance data for five years (01-Jan-2014 to 31-Dec-2018) for these assets is provided. In individual tabs of each excel file, Functional Locations, Notifications, Work Orders, (Preventive) Maintenance Plans, Cost & damage codes are provided. Also provided are the Organisation's risk matrix, definitions for work order types and master list of codes.
While this is the best available source of truth, the data cannot be considered perfect. As a result, careful consideration and documentation of assumptions, proposals and justifications are required to support your findings.
Task - You are required to create a Technical Report analysing and comparing the maintenance performance of these boilers. Analysis could be based on compliance to existing Preventive Maintenance Strategy, quantum Unplanned Work, types of faults found, adequacy of existing PM strategy, uptime, Cost of Maintenance (Planned vs. Unplanned), capital projects, best and worst performing sub-assets etc. to name a few. Comparison may be made among equivalent asset systems across the four boilers.
The report shall also contain your recommendations on actions to be taken to each boiler / sub-system to improve its performance. (Report length - Max. 2000 words, not considering those in tables and charts)
2. Individual Research - Carry out individual reading on the following topics and present your learnings on each of the topics below. (Max. 500 words per topic, excluding references)
2.1 Asset Life Cycle Costing
2.2 MIMOSA standard for asset management
2.3 MANTIS project on asset management
