Criteria:

Part of business analysis includes making decisions, solving problems, and managing projects. To efficiently manage projects, business analysts use tools to ensure each element of the project is identified, tracked, and communicated. Drawing tools like drawio.net, SmartDraw, LucidSpark, or Microsoft Visio allow managers to create visual representations of processes and systems. It allows them to identify relationships and flows between problem stakeholders and processes.

Assignment Instruction:

For this assignment, create three diagrams of your company using your choice of draw tool. Note drawio.net is a few and intuitive choice. Save a screenshot of each image to include in your analysis paper.

Diagram 1: Status quo of the company's problem as seen in Week 1; include the problem owner(s) and stakeholders in your diagram

Diagram 3: A second solution alternative and how it will interact with the problem owner(s) and stakeholders

In Microsoft Word, write a 5-7 page paper where you briefly introduce your company and its current problem. The body of your paper will discuss alternative solutions to solve the problem, including decision-making criteria and weights used during the decision-making process. Your paper will conclude with a thoughtful analysis of decision alternatives, choosing the best to solve the company's problem, and justifying your opinion. Your paper will be supported by a minimum of five sources cited both in-text and on a reference page, including the BABOK® Guide, the company, and other scholarly sources from the KU Library. You will include screenshot images of each of your three diagrams in an appendix in your paper. The appendix will be placed after the reference page.
