Effects of Homelessness on the Economy

Introduction

Homelessness has affected the economy in different circles in the country. The conditions have forced the government to set aside finances to accommodate those affected. Each condition of homeless requires a unique way of tackling the problem in order to balance the available resources of the country. Social policies have also enabled the establishment institutions that mandate the government of the day to facilitate programs to restructure the social background of citizens (Minnery &Greenhalgh, 2007).

History of Social policy

Social policies have been the highway through which the steps of facilitating homelessness in the country. The country has a rich past towards the establishment of social policies that will enhance creation of homes to which the vulnerable can be settled. The issue has also been a concerned of most developed and developing countries across the globe. Most countries have facilitated programs that will reduce and fight effects and conditions of homelessness. An understanding of the steps taken by individual countries has boosted exchange of data among them to encourage how affected persons can be assisted to maintain a proper status-quo (Wagner & Gilman, 2012).

Reforms in the Policy

The different ways that can provide reforms in the social policies through which homelessness can be tackled in the country. The good practice policy encourages how the state needs to handle all the problems that result into homelessness. The understanding of better reforms will enhance how a given country establishes practices to stabilize the economic conditions towards the financial stability. Every set procedure must be followed to the later in case of divergent views. Conditions met in any country will increase every undertaking proved to be achievable towards killing impacts of homelessness (NASW, 2011).
