Starting with Adam Smith, ecomomist think of social relations as mostly buying and selling things to each other and bargaining over the prices in a culculated way. When sociologist treat social relations however, they see a lot more going on then just economic exchange. Explain how the ideas of Simmel, dubois, Goffman, Homans, cook, and Granovetter on social relations differ from each calculated economic exchange.
