Does high Omega-3 PUFA intake reduce the risk of Type-2 Diabetes?

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered to be the essential fatty acids for body functioning. Human body is not able to synthesize this on its own; therefore it has to be supplemented through dietary intake. Common examples of essential omega-3 fatty acids are docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).1. It is widely known that omega-3 fatty acid owns several beneficial effects such as preventing cardiovascular diseases.2. Sufficient amount of Omega-3 fatty acid contributes positively in boosting the immune system 3. Inadequate amounts of omega 3 can be a reason to children brain disability such as attention deficit disorder.4. On the other hand obesity can increase the risk of heart diseases, brain disorder, and kidney damage and defect the immune system.5. Till date there have been many pilot test and clinical research suggesting that the use of omega-3 fatty acid is worthy in reducing the risk for brain diseases.6. Treatment: (1). Omega 3 nutritional supplements (Glipizide, Glyburide and Metformin). (2) Diet rich and Omega 3. In conclusion those treatments are crucial to illuminate the interaction and subsequent effect over the medications
