Question: An area from the NEDA website that I found interesting was the NEDA walks that raise awareness and provides healing and support for those with eating disorders. I personally love exercising, specifically walking and think that it's a great way to bring together a community of people. These walks occur all over the United States and bring in a lot of awareness for eating disorders every year. I belong to a co-ed fraternity here at West Chester University and have a great opportunity to gather a large group of people and either join in on a NEDA walk or simply create our own. This year there is a walk in Philadelphia on may 11th at Drexel square. I could get involved in many ones. One way is that I can like previously mentioned gather a group of people from my fraternity and we could do the walk. If that isn't feasible we could do a fundraiser for NEDA and help support the walk. we could also make and sell t-shirts for fundraising that brings awareness to NEDA and eating disorders as a whole. Overall, there are many ways I could get involved in order to help others with eating disorders.
