Problem: In ten or more sentences, tell which ones you answered yes to and which ones you answered no to. What will you do to make final corrections and have a successful paper? What did doing this paper teach you? How would you have changed the paper if you could start all over?

1. Do you have 3-5 sentences in your attention getter?

2. Did you send your thesis question answers to me and use my feedback to have a strong thesis and topic sentences?

3. Did you begin each body paragraph with a simple topic sentence naming only ONE topic?

4. Did you have 6+ support sentences with any combination of these things about the topic: facts, reasons, examples, details, information from sources?

5.Did you end each of your three body paragraphs with a wrap up sentence naming the same topic named in the topic sentence?

6.Did you have 3-5 summary statements and a clearly reworded thesis statement in the conclusion?

7. Are all paragraphs less than 200 words?

8. Did you use the punctuation list on each sentence you wrote to be sure there were no errors?

9. Did you have a cover, introduction, three body paragraphs, conclusion and refernece page all double spaced in Arial, Courier, or Times New Roman in only 12 point font with no bold print?

10. Did you have NO MORE THAN ONE SHORT quote [preferably no quotes]?

11. Did you spell check and proofread the paper?

12. Did you have a correctly placed header and page number like the sample papers showed?
