Presentation All students should prepare a Powerpoint presentation, record your audio or video presentation about a criminology topic that is listed below.

Students should include a discussion about a current event that relates to the topic along with a newspaper (e.g. New York Times) or magazine (e.g. The Atlantic) article (not website) that discusses the current event. Students should be able to demonstrate having a solid understanding of the topic. Select one Topic: corporate crimes, cybercrimes, transnational crimes, or political crimes The presentation should cover the following:

1. Criminology Topic for your discussion a. Describe topic in detail b. Discuss topic as it relates to issue/problem in the field of criminology

2. Discuss the summary of the issues/problems presented in the article

3. How does the article relate to your criminology topic?

4. Discuss what is being done to address the criminology issue (topic you chose) a. Are the current practices to address the criminology issue effective? Why? Why not? b. Recommendation for changes in criminal justice policies to address the criminology issue (topic you choose)

5. Presentation should be at least 10 PowerPoint slides and be at least 3 - 5 minutes with an audio or video recording of you conducting the presentation.

6. Be sure in include citations of sources used on each slide in the note section.
