Inquiry for Complex Care Assignment - Analytical Paper

This assessment (1250 words) is an analytical reflection of your experiences within the IPE workshop. You are required to identify and discuss therapeutic interactions and communication within your team. Identification of a leader with discussion of traits exhibited by that leader within your team is also included. Your reflection requires you to be self-aware and to critically evaluate your involvement and interactions within your team using evidence to support your discussions.

Areas to be addressed -

1. Introduction

State the intention of the paper, a brief overview of what the paper includes and outline the different disciplines included in your team.

2. Identify the leader or 2 people who shared the leadership within your team and discuss 2 of the leadership traits they exhibited (You can identify yourself as the leader).

Which team member/s (not the facilitator) did you identify as a leader? What 2 traits of leadership did you identify in their behaviour? If you have identified 2 people discuss 1 trait of each person, ensure they are different traits. Use literature to support your identified leadership traits.

3. Evaluate if the leadership qualities exhibited by the leader contributed to your development and the team's development.

Did your leadership qualities develop/regress throughout the workshop? How did the leadership qualities exhibited enhance/diminish the development of the team?

4. Identify and evaluate the therapeutic interactions between the team.

Identify what therapeutic interactions occurred between the team. Ensure you include examples from the discussion board and WIKI to demonstrate the therapeutic interactions. Reflect on discussion board and WIKI entries you and your team completed.

5. Identify and evaluate the communication strategies utilised by the team in the development of the care plan for the client/patient.

Identify the communication strategies (verbal, non-verbal, written etc) used by the team. Where the communication strategies positive and/or negative (explain) and what could have been improved?

6. Conclusion/Action Plan

Draw together a conclusion on the main elements of your reflection and then demonstrate how you will specifically apply your learning when working within Interprofessional teams in the future?

Note - Your paper should include examples captured from your discussion board, other personal reflections posted on the discussion board and from participatory experiences within the IPE workshop.

The reference is no more than 7 years. 1. Assignment Instruction, 2. Marking rubric, 3. IPE (interprofessional education) activities we did and 4. The activity content so it may help you to understand what activities we did.
