Assignment Objective
You are encouraged to see the role of an Information Manager within the broader perspective of strategic information systems, understanding the holistic requirements of information systems to completely serve the needs of any organization.
Assignment Task
You have been appointed as consultant to recommend and build information system of Muscat ICT LLC at their Sohar head office. The proposed system must enhance the business processes of client, ABC ICT LLC.
You have to select a business process of the ABC ICT LLC, based on the following levels, and required to design an information system. Your report must be not be more than 10 to 12 pages and must be professionally compiled.
• Operational level business process
• Management level
• Strategic level
The following must be considered to design information system:
Problem 1:
Submit an assignment work proposal for this assignment by the end of 06/05/2020, 23:59 which must include:
• Understanding of deliverables - a detail description of deliverables;
• General overview of proposed plan - initial understanding of solution to task2;
• Resources identified.
The assignment work proposal must be submitted in a word file through the link available in Moodle.
Problem 2.
• Prepare Business Model Canvas - An ideal business model canvas include:
o Discuss what items/products/services to be offered by the ABC ICT LLC and select one business process to be automated / enhanced.
o Explain the all components of selected business process.
o Why ABC ICT LLC is investing on the development of information system.
• Considering and incorporating ethical, social and moral dimensions of information system.
• IT (information technology) infrastructure required.
• Compare any two database management systems and choose any one, by providing the rationale, database management system for the proposed information system.
