The topic is A call for Pet Rights (When you are abandoning your pet)

• You may use either the 1 column or 2 column screenplay format, but your script must be formatted correctly. If it's not, you will have points deducted. I have provided templates for you to use, so there's really no excuse for not having it properly done.

• If your script does not speak to your target audience, you will get serious points deducted. For example, if you come up with a target audience of "Single parents with children between 5 and 10, who have an income under $35,000 per year." you had better research that target audience and make sure your script speaks to them. (See the example provided.)

• If you hand draw your storyboards, that is fine, but you MUST USE THE TEMPLATES PROVIDED. Do not clumsily draw your own squares. The storyboards should be on 8.5″ x 11″ paper - not paper ripped out of your notebook. Your artwork doesn't need to be a masterpiece, but your storyboards should be neat.

• If you hand draw your wireframes, you must use the provided templates.

• If you do not provide sources for your research, points will be deducted

• If you do not use at least two *different* sources for your research, points will be deducted.

• You must provide at least two different sources for your researches, and you must properly cite them with footnotes. Any source listed on this page is NOT an acceptable.

Spelling and grammar count. If you have difficulties with this, then I suggest you complete the written parts of your project and bring it to the Learning Resource Center to get help having it proofread. Don’t write your script before you do your research! This is the fastest way to a bad grade. If you plagiarize anything whatsoever, even one sentence, you will automatically receive a zero. So far I have found a total of 7 students who thought they could get away with this. Since you took the exam on plagiarism (or should have), you should already know what is plagiarism and what is not. If you hand draw your storyboards, that is fine, but you must use the template provided. Do not clumsily draw your own squares.
