Assignment 1

Write a 3-5 page paper, including a title page and reference page, responding to the following questions:

Discuss the responsibilities of the first responding officer at the crime scene.

Describe the basics of processing a crime scene including the proper documentation and collection of collecting physical evidence.

Assignment 2

Set up a mock crime scene of your choice and find trace evidence in your crime scene. Take pictures of the evidence and collect evidence by using the method of your choice. Note: no Vacuums will be needed and you will have to package the trace evidence.

Submit at least four or five photos in a PowerPoint presentation with an explanation of the crime scene. NOTE: if you do not have access to a digital camera, you may use a camera phone.
