Aim

This module aims to analyse the factors affecting personal financial decisions, the products available to meet financial needs, and the organisations that provide them.

Learning Outcome 1: Analyse the reasons why individuals buy financial products and the factors that affect their choices

Learning Outcome 2: Compare the main features of financial products and providers

Learning Outcome 3: Analyse the effects on consumers of changes and trends in the financial market place

Assessment Task

This assessment requires you to make a personalised academic poster. Each student research on the topic guidelines given below to complete the poster. The poster should be mixture of texts and graphics that will best illustrate the topic chosen. Texts and graphics should be printed to complete the poster. The size and layout of the poster will be in a landscape of "55×75" centimeters. Completed task should be printed on a sheet of chart paper/illustration board.

Choose any one South Asian and GCC country for the following task. On choosing the countries elaborate the following:

Part I. History of currency and its evolution in one of the chosen South Asian and GCC country (800 words)

Part II. Discuss the recent technological developments took place in the banking system for the chosen South Asian and GCC country (600 words)

Part III. Based on your understanding on the above tasks compare the developments in terms of currency and banking system of the chosen countries (400 words)
