Discuss the George Floyed act:

1. What are the essential differences between the policy proposals concerning the Democrats and Republicans?

2. Who are the major non-institutional public policy actors that support the Democrat and Republican perspectives respectively and why? (You may draw on this to a degree from the last lesson)

3. How does the concept of political feasibility, which is so central to the policy formulation and policy adoption stages of the policy process, impact the debate concerning your policy?

4. How is the "public theater of action" influencing the behavior of legislative actors concerning the debate over your policy?

5. Go in to the State of the Union graphing, and identify a major speech in which presidential mentions were high. Then go to State of the Union Addresses, find the address in question (you can just click on the President and then the year in which the address was delivered), and determine how much theater, public policy specificity, and feasibility, if any, can be gleaned from this very public identification of your problem.

If your public policy issue was never mentioned in a SOTU address, briefly go off track and find another policy of interest to you, and analyze that.
