Because adolescence is a rough time with most people, where people are fragile and get hurt easily, and the consequences of those changes can affect the rest of life of adolescents.

The adolescent years is considered as a struggle time for everybody, while at this time, adolescences' bodies undergo large changes in not only hormonal levels, physical health, but also changes in cognition and behavior (Yurgelun-Todd, D 2007)
o Features in cognitive changes
During adolescence, a neurobiological transition period happens and marked with different symptoms, somebody will increase their ability to select information to adapt and control their behaviors (Yurgelun-Todd, D 2007). As a result, sometimes adolescents engage in impulsive behaviours, such as lack of foresight, failed control emotional, substandard decision-making. (Burnett 2009)

o Social Goals
Individual differences in background, personality will have different goals in their life. Interestingly, among the dominant of personality, the most inconsistent findings have been demonstrated in more interpersonal traits. Social goals are the most important facet of interpersonal domains (DeYoung, Weisberg, Quilty, & Peterson 2013), especially in adolescent period.

During adolescence, effects of social identity is strongest compare with early or late adolescents, and those are identified clearly in peer group, which means the background or educational society than gender. (Tanti et al. 2011)

• Impact on health
o The changes in social and cognition, specifically cognitive variables and social support occurs during adolescent will decide on building the foundation for healthy lifestyle behaviors. (Kelly, 2011)
o Adolescents during adolescence have easily impacted from changes in both from cognition and society, some life events such as the loss of someone closed, or lose the goal can allocate to the level of cognitive social maturity, and can lead to health risk behaviors. (Chris, Borawski & Elaine 2006)
