According to an article published by Financial Post, many customers complained that the floor staff at Canadian Tires stores did not know where products were beyond their area in the store, and did not respond to customers' requests in a professional way. The management team of Canadian Tire also admitted that the company has failed to provide services as customers expected, and stated that Canadian Tire would develop and implement a comprehensive plan to improve face-to- face customer services in stores. One part of this plan is to provide all customer service representatives in Canadian Tire stores with a two-day, face-to-face workshop on customer services. The workshop involves lectures, group discussions, a case study, and mock role-playing exercises.
