CASE SCENARIO: ANDY COUGH

Mang Andoy, 46 years old, has had a persistent non-productive cough for 4 weeks with low grade fever in the afternoon. He also lost 5kg in the span of 3 weeks. He self-medicated with dextromethorphan and Amoxicillin 500 mg 3 times/day for one week but there was no improvement. He consulted a private MD who considered the possibility of tuberculosis.
