Question: Select a nonprofit organization that you have been or are currently involved with or one whose focus interests you.

Review the course textbook and additional reading assignments for this unit, giving special attention to the portions regarding legislative activity and nonprofit organizations.

Discuss possible actions and factors involving the New York State Legislature and New York nonprofits that likely led to the adoption of the New York Nonprofit Revitalization Act of 2013 such as coalition interests, enhanced desire for governmental oversight, and the like.

Select three specific areas from the Revitalization Act of 2013; one must be finance-related, one must be related to regulatory initiatives, and one can be of any area of your choosing. Discuss how they might impact the operating capacities of your selected organization.
