Marriage was an expectation in order to survive in the world and take financial burden off of parents. Though progress has been made to advance women's rights, the wage gap remains steady, and the repeal of Roe v. Wade now restricts women's access to abortion care.
If you live in a state where abortions are banned, how will you support the client but practice in an ethical and legal manner? Ethical issues of client self-determination, client well-being, privacy, and cultural competence may arise as you navigate such policies with diverse clients.
