Assignment - Factors Affecting Bank Stability Using Zscore ratio
ALL banks in GCC ONLY
For the factors, choose three bank specific and three governance indicators(these are the independent variables) and the dependent variable is the bank stability
The three bank specific indicators that we chose are:
- Liquid assets / Deposits & short-term funding
- Loan loss provisions
- Net income
Note: (For the bank specific indicators, we have chosen the ones which had negative or low correlation with each other)
The three governance indicators that we chose are:
- control of corruption
- rule of law
- voice and accountability
The report should consist of
1. Introduction and background about the group topic against bank-specific variable and country level data of governance (explain why is the topic important and develop one or two objectives of the study) and also include the objective and contribution of this research.
2. Literature review (10 recent articles discussing the issue) include citations also
3. Data and methodology (talk about the proxy that is used "Z-score" and how did we measure it in detail)
4. Results and Analysis (1- explain the relationship between each independent variable mentioned above with the bank stability, eg: if they are positively or negatively related and why?),(2- explain statistics briefly)
5. Summary and Conclusion (should summarize the results with mentioning figures/tables and should be linked to the objective of the study)
6. References (APA style)
Please note that Introduction and Literature should be explained in words and Data and Methodology should be mainly be focusing on what proxy is used (z-score), Example how did we measure it and such.
Please note that to work on data and methodology you need to the excel data.
The report should not exceed 20 pages including references.
