Question: RE: Telemedicine Growth and Its Effect on Nurses

Telehealth is emerging as a critical component of the healthcare crisis solution. Telehealth increases access to healthcare: Remote patients can more easily obtain clinical services.

The Nursing Commission is considering a proposal to increase funding for its Rural Health Care Program, as demand is projected to outpace the available capital for the second straight year.

I struggled with handling critical conditions to some patients, thus specifically pushing this proposal open opportunities for young men and women to enter the Nursing profession as an upwardly mobile career.

RE: Workplace violence

Workplace violence has increased in our healthcare industry where we receive threats, physical and psychological damaging actions that occur while on duty.

As a representative of District 103, am requesting you, Mr. Lindell, to make sure the employers to run workplace violence programs; CA, CT, IL, MD, MN, NJ, OR. NY and also Establish or increase penalties for assault of "nurses":

A specific reason for this proposal is to ensure OH authorizes hospitals to post warnings regarding violent behaviors and I passed a resolution urging employers to develop and implement standards of conduct and policies for managers and employees to reduce workplace bullying and promote healthful and safe work environments.

RE: Workplace hazards

As a Nurse, we face a number of workplace hazards such as exposure to bloodborne pathogens, injuries, and hand washing-related dermatitis and cold and flu germs. Recently I was nursing irritant contact dermatitis.

I am requesting you as the chairman of the board to push for laws and policies that will protect the nurse working condition over these workplace hazards.

Specifically, am requesting to have frequent vaccinations and nurses to be wearing an antiviral face mask, which has been shown to kill or inactivate 99.99 percent of laboratory-tested flu viruses.
