Question: Try out at least 2 of the In the Classroom activities in chapter 8-there are 5 throughout the chapter. (I think 8-5 is really challenging, I'd love to have someone explain question 5 on In the Classroom 8-5.) Tell us which In the Classrooms you completed and share what you discovered aboutPlace Value as you completed the activities.

1. Select one of the four characteristics of our number system and make a visual representation of it. OR Show how 201 and 120 would be represented with three different place-value models (concrete physical models, semiconcrete organizational models, symbolic representational models). This could be done electronically using Word Art, clip art, in a ppt slide, hand drawn and a photo taken and uploaded, models made with objects from home and then a photo taken and uploaded or however your genius allows-as long as you can share it with us.
