Food is so expensive and especially healthy foods, that these programs are critical for our senior citizens. Another great program for adults is the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). This program provides vouchers for seniors who qualify by income to purchase healthy foods from farmer markets. This is a great program for people who have financial constraints to obtain fresh farm foods. (USDA, 2015).
