Question: Create a disagreeable or agreeable response to the following post. The main difference between actual and theoretical criteria relies on how the concept is applied to a specific scenario. On the one hand, the theoretical criterion is the best hypothetical quality the evaluation can achieve. For example, a theoretical criterion for fast-food workers is that they work incredibly quickly and socialize well with coworkers and employees. On the other hand, the actual criterion is how the theoretical criterion is applied in a specific scenario, such as the specific questions and prompts on a performance quiz. (Penn State)

Due to the theoretical criterion often varying from person to person, this can lead to many misunderstandings between the leaders that issue the tests and the employees that take them. For example, a leader that primarily prioritizes how organizations socialize with each other will likely lead to some misunderstandings with an employee who prioritizes sheer work over socialization. Due to these differences, it is essential to ensure that an individual's theoretical criterion is adequately communicated to everyone about those ideals and how they would be reflected in future examinations.

A misunderstanding about the theoretical and actual criteria that happened was between a coworker and my general manager. My coworker was not social overall, tending to keep to herself and focus on doing work rather than socializing with others. Due to her job not requiring a lot of socialization and naturally being good at the job, she flourished in her career. On the other hand, my manager prioritized social interaction in the workplace and wanted my coworker to socialize more. This was reflected in the low score that my manager gave my coworker, which led to a massive disagreement. Luckily, they could communicate and compromise so that both people were happy eventually.
