Two isozymes E1 and E2 catalyze the same reaction in different tissues and have the same Vmax. However, E1 has a KM of 30 nM, while E2 has a KM of 100 nM. If you add 30 nM of substrate to two separate test tubes containing either E1 or E2 and measure the [product] after 30 secs, would E1 or E2 produce more product? Or would they produce the same amount of product? Explain.
