Assessment Tasks:
The second assessment task for this unit is a reflective assignment. This is an individual assignment of approximately 2000 words and is based on your experience throughout the term and in particularly addressing the NCD related problem you have selected in the Assessment 1. You must (a) discuss and analyse what you have learned about NCD prevention and control, (b) Role of different sectors (public, private and other relevant institutions), (c) Role of the public health professionals in the efforts of addressing NCDs, in particularly among the people with special circumstances and those with low socioeconomic status and (d) Conclusions and recommendations to address the NCD problem the one you have selected in the Assessment 1.
The focus of this assignment is to demonstrate your deeper understanding on NCDs and public health interventions to consider your experiences in the larger context. It is not enough to just describe what you studied throughout the term; you must clearly demonstrate that you have reflected on the experience and have tried to understand in the context of your own learning. Guidelines for the reflective assignment will be provided in the tutorials.
This is a reflective assignment, so a more informal writing style is acceptable. However, the reflection must not be wholly descriptive. It must contain an assessment of the way in which your views or thinking has changed and what you have learned in terms of NCDs prevention and control as a public health professional.
