Are the internet, web, or web 2.0 really new media or just a phenomenal advancement in how media deliver content? We watch movies and TV, listen to music, read papers and magazines and even books via the internet. But we did all those things before in different formats.

What does it take to effectively use all media now, whether separately or just as part of being connected? In other words, what is the difference between media fluency and media literacy?
