Target Behavior for Reduction: Alex frequently displays aggressive behavior, such as throwing objects and yelling, when his video game time is interrupted or limited. He wants to feel more comfortable during transitions away from his preferred activities. Environment: These behaviors often occur at home when his parents need to limit screen time or transition him to other activities.

The results of Alex's Functional Analysis, which was supported by his Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), state that the function of his behavior is to gain access to his preferred video games. When he engages in aggressive behaviors, it often results in an extended period of video game time as his parents attempt to manage his behavior.
