Question: Reply to below in 150 words/ 10 sentences min
Every organization faces a special set of ethical challenges, creates its own set of values and norms, develops guidelines for enforcing its ethical standards, honors particular ethical heroes, and son on (Johnson, 2015, p. 321). An organizations ethical climate is established in the culture which means that the culture of the organization will directly influence the behavior of the people. Individual people may have very high ethical standards, but they could find themselves falling behind their coworkers because of the unwillingness to conduct unethical behavior. The people that are willing to do whatever is needed to succeed will rise because leadership will see that they are producing better numbers or have better sales. This could also make someone with high ethical standard participate in unethical behavior because it is the norm. When unethical behavior is the norm it is only a matter of time before it causes a collapse. We can see this with the banking industry when employees began to open up accounts for individuals without their consent to maintain their high numbers. Eventually the issue was identified, and people were let go. This was an unfortunate situation for employees that were following in leaderships unethical behavior. I believe leaders that maintain high ethical behavior would also influence the behavior of their people in positive ways as well though.
