1. I was reading about a study where a professor taught two developmental psychology classes. In the first section, the instructor lectured to the class in a monotone voice. The professor spoke enthusiastically in the second section. Aside from that, the professor taught both classes in the same way. The second-section students were more pleased with the class. The professor came to the conclusion that the enthusiastic voice led to more contentment.

Is this a non-equivalent group design or an ex post facto study? Describe your decision.

Also, say why the researcher's conclusion isn't true and what could have been done to improve this study.

(Note: Although I'm looking for something else in your response, it's possible that the two classes were taught at different times of the day or in different classrooms. You should discuss the possibility that the second class was more interesting and motivated, and that they would have enjoyed the class even if the instructor had not spoken so enthusiastically. Please explain why we are unable to rule out this possibility completely.
