Golden Olives is a 7000 watershed. The major land uses include Lisa Jackson who owns a 250 acre horse farm in an upstream section of watershed, Robert J. Bowden owns a 500 acre cattle ranch far from the river shore, J.P. Ryan owns 15 apartment buildings and two paper mills in a downstream well developed part of the watershed, Manny Rodriguez owns 200 acres in vegetable crops (mainly farmed during spring and summer months), the county waste water treatment plant, and an array of houses and trailer homes, and house boats.

The problem is that Golden Olives discharges an excess of 1000 more pounds of Nitrogen into its River than it can handle with serious eutrophication which adversely affects fishing and swimming. Lisa, Robert, JP, Manny, the county, and the home owners point fingers at the other guys as being the responsible.
