Submission Instructions
Memorandum covering details of Diagram #1 and #2 that is directed to your professor
1. **Diagram #1: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System**
- **Description:** This organization provides a range of services for veterans, including primary care, specialty care, mental health services, and rehabilitation programs.
- **Reason for Choice:** The VA is known for its commitment to patient-centered care and offers a comprehensive approach to healthcare for veterans. This makes it an excellent example of interdepartmental collaboration and patient pathways.
2. **Diagram #2: University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC)**
- **Description:** UMC is an acute care hospital that offers a wide array of services, including emergency care, outpatient services, and specialized treatments in various departments.
- **Reason for Choice:** UMC is the only Level I trauma center in Nevada and has a strong presence in the community. Its integrated model combines inpatient care, outpatient services, and urgent care, allowing for a detailed analysis of interdependencies between different health delivery settings.
These two organizations provide diverse perspectives on patient care and healthcare delivery models in Las Vegas. The VA focuses on veteran-specific services, while UMC emphasizes a broader community health approach.
