This requirement means that, when educating patients and their caregivers, the nurse must consider important aspects such as the level of education, educational background, language skills, culture, and methods or strategies of teaching and evaluating what has been learned with each patient during the process of educating.

After completing the assigned reading on study topic:

Create an infographic or a brochure as a teaching-learning strategy to educate the patient about the following clinical case:

"A 24-year-old male patient has returned from the Radiology area where he has had several x-rays and a computed tomography (CT) scan. The results show the following findings: (1) Chest x-ray: no rib fractures are evident, heart size is normal, lung fields have good air entry; (2) Pelvis x-ray: pelvis is intact, no bony displacement or fracture is evident; (3) Extremity x-ray: simple closed fracture of the left femur with swelling around the left thigh; no other injuries are evident; (4) Spine x-ray and CT: no injuries are evident. The patient's blood test results are also available; all show results within normal limits and his blood group is A+. His vital signs are taken upon his return, with the following results: - Blood pressure (BP) - 143/73 mmHg, Heart rate (HR) - 100/100 mmHg, Blood oxygen saturation (BOM) - 100/100 mmHg, Blood oxygen saturation (BOM) - 100/100 mmHg, Blood pressure (BP) - 100/100 mmHg, Blood oxygen saturation (BOM ... 102 beats/minute, Respiratory rate (RR) - 20 breaths/minute - Temperature (T) - 35.7°C, Oxygen saturation (SpO2) - 97% on 4 L O2 via simple face mask. The medical staff determines that although the patient's x-rays and CT indicate that his spine is not injured, precautions must be taken with the spine until the effects of the morphine wear off so that it does not mask the pain throughout the spine on physical assessment. The left leg requires surgery to stabilize the fracture, but since it is not urgent, it is decided to wait until the swelling in the left thigh subsides. Arrangements are made to move the patient to a ward, but a bed will not be available for several hours. A complete secondary assessment of the patient is initiated, and nursing care is begun.
