PART I:

Develop a set of criteria for evaluating an outdoor play space that is part of an early childhood setting, e.g. child care, play school, kindergarten. Be sure to indicate the age group for which the play space is intended. Use the knowledge you have gained from this module as well as any other information you can access through the internet or a library. Your criteria must be clearly and professionally presented so that your instructor knows exactly what you will be evaluating.

PART II

a. Take photographs of the play space as it exists currently. You must include sufficient photographs to show the entire play space.

b. Using the criteria you have developed, evaluate the outdoor play space you have chosen. Be sure to list both positive and negative features of the play space and be sure to justify your comments.

PART III

Clearly identify what you would do to make this an ideal outdoor play space for the age group for which it is intended. Explain how the "new" space would meet the developmental needs of this age group.
