Problem
Paragraph I: This class has packed me with the necessary knowledge to demonstrate my leadership skills in a professional and confident way. Now I understand that through advocacy I can help my community as well as my coworkers. This class gave me the understanding to know what is my leadership style and my strength and weakness leadership characteristics which will help me to lead with confidence.
Paragraph II: Demonstrates leadership and collaboration with consumers and other healthcare providers in providing care and/or delegating responsibilities for health promotion, illness prevention, health restoration, health maintenance and rehabilitative activities.
Through this class I become aware of my little leadership steps, as well as my strengths and weakness as I mentioned above. I have learned that advocacy and delegation are very important steps in the leadership journey. I learned about conflict resolution, skills like stay calm, listen all the points of view, establish the root cause and the development of solutions in with most the affected parts are agree, it is what make a good leader. And lastly I learned that delegation, empower the team to own their tasks and can help boost team performance and efficiency.
Paragraph III: Develop capacity for leadership.
This class and the professor D feedback have contributed to my personal growth and advocacy skills. Topics discussed in this class helped me to identify what advocacy strategies were effective and how they can be improved or applied differently in my future practice. I also learned how to look at the various perspectives on every situation and remember that social determination of health (SDOH) is essential when making my decisions. This course showed me that, always there is a room for learning and improving as a leader, I will remember those leadership qualities and skills to ensure safe quality patient care in my journey.
