Task 1:

a) Legislation and regulatory content

b) Policies and procedures

- Linking the recruitment and induction policy to the tasks of investigating resources needs, for example, int the policy's purpose of attracting the most suitable people for positions at BBQfun.
- Linking the performance management policy to the tasks of:
- Engaging employees in buy-in of organizational goals
- Manageing the provision of emplooyees incentives for peformance in areas relevant to operational and strategic goals.
- Achieving budget restraint through performance management.

- Linking the procurement policy with the task of researching potential new suppliers, including looking for value-for-money and researching Australian-owned suppliers.
c) Operational plan
- Capture e-commerce strategy requirements in the form of performance measures and tasks.
- Provide a frame work for implementation
- Sets performance indicators that alows for monitoring of success.
d) Discussion of models and methods could include:
- Setting KPIs and using balanced scorecards.
- Listing main functions and activities and assigning related performance measures.
- Risk identification and contingency planning.
- Monitoring performance by comaring targets and actual performance.

Procedure 1
Research resource requirements through consultation with relevant personnel?
For example;
- Consult with sales and marketing manager and technology consultant.
- Ask questions to elicit information from personnelrelated to operational plans and clarify understanding.

Procedure 2

Action Plan
Analyse and document resource requirements and develop an action plan in consultation with relevant personnel, colleagues and specialist resource managers?
For example;
- Use action plan
- Amned/develop operational plan to include financial targets, candidate may amend workflow to include online retailing.
- Access and use simulated work-place information to adapt operational plan and write action plans for resourcing.
- Plans all steps required for implemtation:
- E.g. the physicall resourcing for e-commerce would include finding a website developers, deciding on payment methods, finding a supplier to set up a gateway, setting up accounts with a bank, procuring vehicles, finding a contractor to reconfigure warehouse and office space.
- Align the plan with BBQfun policies and procedures , for example, reflect the major steps in the recruitment and induction policy and procedure
- Include timelines/deadlines in the implementation plan.
- Include consultation in action planning to ensure organizational engagement.
- Plan communication to ensure understanding among work team involved.

Procedure 3
Develop Performance Indicator
- Performance indicators and targets for online sales and service representative should include ( as outlined during role play consultation with sales and marketing manages):
- Time: Handling customers interactions ( Target: <10 miniutes)
- Quality: Information provision; order prpcess error rates ( target : < 10% eror)
- Performance indicators and targets for amended operation plan should include:
- $781,000 added to expense target ( additional staff $400,000; additional marketing $300,000; additional training $51,000; recrruitment $30,000)
- $200,000 added to profit targets.

Procedure 4
Contingency plan
Depending on organizational context and the particular risk identified, your contingency planning may include strategies such as:
- Consultation with organizational stake holders to encourage acceptancee of, and compliance with, operational plans and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms to provide feedback of the work team in relation to outcomes of consultation.
- Hold meetings, interviews, brainstorming session, email/intranet communications, newsletters or other processes and devices to ensure that all employyes have the opportunity to contribute to team and individual operational plans.
- Contracting out or outsourcing human resources and other functions or tasks.
- Diversification of operational outcomes.
- Finding cheaper or lower quality raw materials and consumable.
- Increasing sales or production.
- Recycling and reusing materials.
- Development alternative means of procurement of required materials, equipments and stock: rental , hire, purchase, sale on consignment etc.
- Restructuring of organization to reduce labour cost.
