You need to use the knowledge gained throughout this whole unit and apply clinical reasoning stages, to develop a plan for decision making and problem solving in relation to one selected health care issue.

Assessment instructions

You need to:

• Choose One specific Issue or problem in health care setting that Indicates their learning need.

• Justify why this is a problem and why it is Important. Ensure that you support your justification by the relevant literature.

• Identify the learning objectives. Students are required to design their learning objectives to achieve their goals in their specialty nursing clinical practice area. SMART model Is suggested to formulate your learning objectives.

• Assess the situation and all the aspects involved with the Issue and the situation.

• Explore resources: students pursue to achieve learning objectives by searching, factftnding review and analyse the current credible and relevant literature.

• Write a broad outline of the proposed goals and plans for their project

• Set some criteria for further evaluation of the project and reflect on your learning.

A project may cover any area of nursing practice that you feel you would like to improve your learning about.
