Assignment : Implementing Effective Instructional Strategies
The purpose of this assignment is for student to assume the role of an instructional coach and develop a one-hour presentation of a research-based, effective strategies described in the course texts.
A presentation, which is designed for teachers, in the form of a PowerPoint or other medium to convey the information.
During our last class, each student will give a 10-minute presentation that highlights important elements of the hour-long presentation/paper.
Note: The presentation should be accompanied with a 4-5 pages summary paper, illustrating the following:
• An explanation of Identifying Similarities & Differences, Summarizing and Note Taking and two other strategies of the student's choice.
• Examples or visuals to explain the selected strategies.
• Suggestions to begin a gradual implementation of the strategies - consider how you might involve teachers in an activity to develop their ideas for this.
• Plan for implementation was followed by a discussion on how assessment fits into the use of the effective strategies, the interworking of curriculum, and quality instruction. closure with a_ summary prid conclusion
