Part 1: The document should be in the following format (use Word document):

1. Business Intelligence Development Plan - Use the APA template

i. Table of contents

• Use the auto-generated TOC.

• Make it a maximum of 3 levels deep.

• Be sure to update the fields of the TOC so that it is up-to-date before submitting your project.

ii. Section headings (create each heading on a new page)

• Business Intelligence Justification

• Business Performance Plan

• Business Performance Methodologies

• Data Classification and Visualization Assessment

• Data-Mining Methods and Processes

• Provide a rough draft of the company

• Incorporate the conceptual foundations of decision making

• Does Simon's four phases of decision making: intelligence,

• design, choice, and implementation apply to your project?

• How the process works in relates to the essential definition of DSS

• Explain the important DSS classifications

• How DSS support for decision making can be provided in practice

• Review DSS components and how they integrate

You will work on this project incrementally as it is posted. Each week; you will do part of this project and submit at the due date.Your project must be supported by the scholarly sources and that you cite each source both in-text and in the References section using APA.

The first section of new content will be as follows:

1. Business Intelligence Justification (Week 1 IP): 6-8 pages (exclude: Cover page and reference page)

• Describe the background and the general business environment for the project

• Define at least 10 problems related to decision making that currently exist in the organization.

• Describe the typical organizational response to the above 10 problems using the business pressure-responses-support model.

• Describe the quantitative and qualitative impact of the organizational response to the 10 problems on managerial decision making.

• Describe how business intelligence can be used to support problem-solving and decision support in the case study organization.

Part 2: • Using the major business performance management (BPM) processes, describe the general process of how the case study organization will collect data that are relevant to the following:

• Strategize

• Plan

• Monitor

• Act and adjust

• Describe specifically how the organization will formulate a business performance plan, as follows:

• Conduct a current situation analysis.

• Determine the planning horizon.

• Conduct an environmental scan.

• Identify critical success factors.

• Identify the type of report you will use and why

• Complete a gap analysis.

• Create a strategic vision.

• Develop a business strategy.

• Identify strategic objectives and goals.

• Determine how Data Mining works

• Implement the data mining process within your organization. Determine why you are using a specific one.

• Build a technique for predictive model

• Determine if you are using the different types of ANN architectures/or not

• Recognize the implementation of the Understand the concept and formulation of the k-nearest neighbor algorithm (kNN) in your business and specify the reason.

• How would use the difference between text analytics, text mining, and data mining

Part 3: As part of the Business Intelligence Development Plan template, including section headings (project outline), you should submit a Business Performance Methodologies section of 6-8 pages that includes the following for the case study organization:

• A description of the specific business performance methodologies (BPM) that the case study organization will use to measure business performance, and how each will be used to align strategies to actions in the organization as follows:

1. Develop the necessary key performance indicators (KPIs) that will align the formulated strategy to the related metric.

• For example, a business strategy of improving customer performance might include KPIs with measurements of customer satisfaction, speed and accuracy of customer complaint resolution, and customer retention.

• Service performance strategies that are designed to improve service levels might include KPIs with measurements of service-call response rates, service level agreement continuance, and product return rates.

2. Discuss how the KPI represents a strategic objective that measures performance against a related goal.

3. Verify that each KPI has the following:

• Strategy

• Targets

• Ranges

• Encodings

• Time frames

• Benchmarks

• Define Web usage mining and learn its business application

• Describe the Web analytics maturity model and its use cases

• Implement social networks and social analytics and their practical applications

• Define social network analysis and become familiar with its application areas

Part 4: In addition to the Business Intelligence Development Plan template including section headings (project outline), you should submit a Data Classification and Visualization Assessment section of 4-5 pages that includes the following for the case study organization:

• Describe the specific types of structured and unstructured data that are essential to the case study organization.

• Describe the specific structured and unstructured data that will be needed to support the KPIs that were identified in Week 3's IP.

• Describe the specific methods and tools that will be used to provide visualization of the structured and unstructured data for the organization.

• Explain what type of PROBLEM-SOLVING SEARCH METHODS is been using in the organization and why?

• What kind of simulation software you will use in your organization

• Explain the selected techniques employed in prescriptive analysis for your organization

• Demonstrate the DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS MODELING in your organization

• What kind of the STRUCTURE OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR DECISION SUPPORT will be in your organization?
