‘The Scenario:

Your company has called for an internal Expression of Interest (EO!) for a senior role - Global Human Resource (HR) Director. This role requires the senior leader to work closely with the regional HR business partners across regions in Southeast Asia. The Global HR Director must be culturally competent and skilful when interacting with stakeholders ‘across the regions.

One of the first initiatives that the Global HR Director must rollout after being appointed is the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programme. Considering cultural differences, managing diversity equitably and inclusively is one of the strategic thrusts in achieving the company's sustainability goals. As part of the EOI, interested candidates must submit ‘a 3-minute Introduction Video of themselves. Shorlisted candidates will go on to the next round of face-to-face interview.

Assessment Description:

‘This assessment is designed to help you reflect on your individual personality and be more aware of how your personality ‘can affect your interaction in a diverse cultural and professional context.

‘You will take this opportunity to reflect on the results of your Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs) based on the ‘Big Five' Framework and ‘Global Mindset' found in Topic 3 and 2 respectively in the Unit Learning Management System. You are expected to apply at least two high quality academic references i.e., relevant and peer-reviewed journal articles at five or less years to complete this assignment, The Introduction Video should answer the question,

‘How can you be a suitable candidate for the Global HR Director role?"

‘You must respond to this question using the ‘Big Five' Framework and ‘Global Mindset' in context to the described ‘scenario given; explaining what aspects of your personality, using only two (2) personality factors from your ‘Big Five" Personality Profile, are suitable in fulfling the requirements stated in the scenario brief. 2. ‘Take the ‘Big Five Personality' SAQ available from Topic 3 on LMS to determine your Big Five Personality.

3. Take the ‘Global Mindset' SAQ available from Topic 2 on LMS to identify your global mindset score.

4. Reflect on the resulls from the ‘Big Five' and ‘Global Mindset' SAQs and conduct research related to ‘Big Five', ‘Global Mindset', and cultural competencies.

5. Identity aspects on how your personality, using only two personality factors from your Big Five Personality Profile, AND global mindset can fulfil the requirements of the role and your suitability.

6. Think of your personal and professional experience and identify specific events/occurrences that can help you support your case,

7. Prepare your one (1) page "speech" script of what you want to say in the Self Introduction Video. Use Font Type Avial with Font Size 12 and a 1.0 Line Spacing,

Script your Sef Introduction Video recording and ensure that itis concise, meeting the given time limit

9. The script wll be submitted with your Self Introduction Video recording. All references, in-text and end-text should be included by applying APA7 referencing. Note that you must have both types of references in the script but may not need to include them in the Self Introduction Video.

10. Practice, practice, and practice using your script so that you are familiar with the content. Reading from the script without rehearsing for your Self Introduction Video will not lead to a good grade.

11, Prepare a 3-minute (+/- 10% i, minimum 162 to maximum 198 seconds) video forthe Self Introduction

12, Ensure that the Self Introduction Video is unedited, uninterrupted, and delivered naturally, professionally, and impressively since it will determine if you would be shortisted for an interview.
