A 60 kilogram lady stands on the back of a 6 meter long, 120 kilogram raft that is floating at rest in still water with no friction. The raft is .5 m from a fixed pier.

If the lady walks at a constant speed of 3 m/s relative to the raft, determine what is the total kinetic energy of the system (lady plus the raft)? Determine what is the kinetic energy if the raft is tied to the pier?
