Setting and keeping goals is essential to success. Being a student provides a perfect opportunity to set and accomplish goals. Every week new tasks come up that must be accomplished. It is also a time of concentrated growth and progression. Your studies force you to stretch yourself and become greater in some way than you are now. This journal entry form will provide an opportunity for you to take some time and reflect on the goals you want to accomplish during your graduate program. 1) In 500-750 words, answer the following: a) What goals will you set to ensure that you accomplish all the things you want to accomplish while being a graduate student? How will you know you are achieving these goals? b) Discuss your short-term (within this program) and long-term (5-10 years) goals for each of the following categories: Personal Academic Professional Spiritual/Devotional c) Consider your results from the Academic Skills Survey, as well as everything you have been exposed to so far in the course, to determine what goals you really need to focus on.
