The torque output diagram of Fig. 9.76 is for a single-cylinder engine at 3000 rpm: Determine the weight of a steel disk-type flywheel required to limit the crank speed to 10 rpm above and 10 rpm below the average speed of 3000 rpm The outside diameter of the flywheel is 250 min. Determine also the weight of the rim of a rim-type steel flywheel of 250 mm mean diameter for the same allowable fluctuation in speed.
