Force Exerted By Jet On Moving cart.

1. You need to determine the velocity of water that comes out from the nozzle of this system.

need the equation please formulate the equation.

2. This water will strike a small cart at rest.

Can you calculate the velocity of the cart after the water hit the cart ?

The velocity of the cart unknown

Need the equations for exponential work.

The pressure inside the pipe is 80 psi and pipe diameter is 0.01m and the length is 1 meter. The cart wight is 2kg.

3. Including all the forces acting on the cart like the friction and the drag force and the mass force.

The whole question was to calculate the effect of water on a moving cart. In order to know the effect of the jet we have to find the force exerted by the jet. For this the velocity or mass flow rate need to be calibrated. This would help find the force exerted on the cart. The velocity of the cart can be find from the same. since the whole force and displacement is in horizontal direction the drag is due to the weight of the cart and the resultant force is in horizontal direction.
