Repeat Prob. 8.69 for ? = 0.8 ± 0.04.

Prob. 8.69:

The temperature of a surface is to be measured with a radiometer at temperature levels of 350 and 600 K. The emissivity of the surface is estimated as ?= 0.3± 0.03 and the absolute uncertainty of the measurement of emitted energy is estimated or specified by the instrument manufacturer as±1.0 percent of the emitted energy the instrument would measure from a black surface at 500 K. Determine the uncertainty in the determination of the two specified temperatures. State the relative influence of instrument uncertainty and surface emissivity uncertainty.
