2. Water flows in a wide, finished concrete channel as is shown in Fig. P10.104 such that a hydraulic jump occurs at the transition of the change in slope of the channel bottom. If the upstream Froude number and depth are 4.0 and 0.2 ft, respectively, determine the slopes upstream, S01, and downstream, S02, of the jump to maintain uniform flows in those regions. The jump can be treated as a jump on a horizontal surface.
